Toys and Doll Collection
Clarington Museums and Archives has one of the largest publicly owned Doll and Toy collections in Canada. A permanent exhibit devoted to the display of some of our Dolls and Toys is in the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre. Recent acquisition of a portion of the collection of Evelyn Strahlendorf, the premier collector of Canadian dolls, has ensured that our collection contains some of the finest examples of dolls prevalent in the Canadian household.
Annually, Clarington Museums and Archives exhibits a themed toy collection to celebrate the toys of yesteryear. Past exhibits have include the Flintstones and Star Trek. Check out our Exhibit page for the Toy Exhibit this year.
