The Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre is named for its benefactor. This site houses museum documents and artifacts that protect and preserve Clarington’s rich history. This Center’s large exhibit space presents high-quality temporary exhibitions to Clarington throughout the year including travelling exhibits by significant partners such as the Royal Ontario Museum. Check our Exhibits page for the Exhibit currently on display.
Located in the former Bowmanville Library it houses major parts of our Collection including our archival collection, as well as our business and personal household artifacts.
The Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre provides research facilities for our archival collection. Clarington Museums and Archives collects documents and artifacts that preserve the heritage of Clarington. Our research facility includes a private room in which to conduct research. Check out our Archives page for more info.
