HERStory Walk – Thursday, May 10th – 1:00 and 7:00

Join us for a walking tour of downtown Bowmanville and learn about its history-shaping women.  There will always enterprising women who were strong community leaders and made their town into what it is today.  Cost $10.00 per person, must pre-register by contacting the museum.  All walks start and finish at the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre at 62 Temperance Street, refreshments served.

Edwardian Teas, Waverly Place, square

Mother’s Day Tea – Wednesday, May 16th – 11:00am and 1:00pm

Treat your mother or another special woman in your life to an Edwardian Tea at Waverley Place, 37 Silver Street.  Our historic home will be open for tours before or after your tea.  A lovely meal of a scone, baked treats and sandwiches provided by the Toasted Walnut, accompanied by coffee, tea, or lemonade.  Cost is $19.00 per ticket, teas sell out so please purchase in advance to avoid disappointment.

Teddy Bear Picnic – Saturday, June 2nd – 12:00-2:00

Bring your furry friend and join us for a family-friendly afternoon of games, crafts and activities at Waverley Place (37 Silver Street).  Our Teddy Bear doctor will also be on hand to do check-ups.  Free family event.  All stuffed animals welcome.

Edwardian Christmas Open House, Friday December 1, 7:00-9:00

As part of downtown Bowmanville’s Moonlight Magic and Tree Lighting, we will be open for free family fun.  Join us to warm up with hot cider and cookies, listen to music and sing some Christmas carols, make a holiday craft, and go on a tour of our beautiful Edwardian home, Waverly Place.  Admission is free, but donations for local food banks are happily accepted.
