Clarington Museums and Archives has one of the largest publicly owned doll collections in Canada as well as the best publicly owned collection of Canadian dolls in the world! 

The collection features dolls of all varieties.

• Canadian and American dolls
• Modern collector dolls
• Cloth dolls
• Stuffed toys
• Character dolls
• Doll houses and doll furniture.

 Notable collectors Evelyn Strahlendorf, Gladys Ashton, Joan Roantree, and Susan Harvie have made large and significant donations to our collection.

The collection is housed at the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre in Bowmanville.  We have a small display of dolls available for viewing at all times, but create larger themed displays each year.  Please check our Exhibit page for this year’s display.
