Archives

Clarington Museums and Archives collects archival materials relevant to the development and history of the Municipality of Clarington. Our archival documents feature family histories in addition to histories of local industries, homes, churches to mention a few. The archival collection of Clarington Museums and Archives is available for researchers at the Sarah Jane Williams Heritage Centre. We offer a research room in which items of interest may be perused. The Archives also includes a large reference collection with many books on local history, dolls, and antiques that researches may use while they are conducting their research at the Archives.

Museum members may come in and use the archives for free. Non-members are charged $10.00. Museum staff are able to do research for those who cannot visit. The cost is $25.00 per hour (members get a 10% discount). Please contact us for more information.
